Seamotion

For his project "Seamotion" Herbert Böttcher travelled on two container vessels in 2004 on a seven week trip from Europe to Brazil, Singapore and Hong Kong. In 2007 a twelve week round trip followed. Böttcher travelled from Europe to Brazil, the USA, Venezuela, Brazil and back to Hamburg. In intoxicating panoramas he caught the interaction of sea, wind and the moving of the enormous container vessels. The results are powerful photographs, which stage the unique beauty of the moving sea.
