Ernst Steiner

Ernst Steiner was born in 1947 in Munich and now lives in Rosenheim. He was interested in photography very early on, and alonside a technical education and studies in plastics technology at Braunschweig, he has systematically continued further studies in photographic technology. Since 1985 Steiner has supervised, as a tour guide, many journeys and trekking tours through almost all Himalayan regions and right across the Indian subcontinent, and also to Burma, Bhutan, Vietnam, Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand and many European countries. During these journeys his camera was his indispensable companion, initially in medium format and later in panorama format. Ernst Steiner's photographs have been seen in many exhibitions and have also been published in many international publications.
