Harald N. Nestroy

HARALD N. NESTROY was born in Breslau in 1938 and he spent many years in the diplomatic service of the Federal Republic of Germany. He was assigned as ambassador to Costa Rica, Malaysia, Namibia and to the Congo among other places. Since 1990, he studies photography with Jaroslav Poncar and he devotes much of his energy to the Himalayan country Bhutan, which he supports as chairman of the society "Pro Bhutan". Twelve times, he has travelled to all regions of the Buddhist kingdom since 1987 and he has shot a huge number of photo series on his journeys. Today, Nestroy and his wife live in Windhuk, Namibia.
